Staking is most commonly performed via the Theta Web Wallet or on a mobile device via the native Theta Wallet application. We encourage you to create an account with us to monitor your stake.

• Register here, or login if you already have account.
• NEVER enter or provide your mnemonic words or provide your unlock key unless it is on the official thetatoken.org webwallet or within a trusted wallet (i.e. MetaMask).

1. Secure Your System

• If you're able to, dedicate a system solely for crypto management.
• Check for and apply all OS and 3rd Party software updates.
• If your firewall is disabled, enable your OS and/or 3rd Party firewall software.
• Note: You don't need to update your OS to the latest availble, just ensure all critical updates are applied.

2. Install a Trustworthy Antivirus

• Consider MalwareBytes, or another reliable Antivirus.
• Run a full scan and ensure your system is safe before proceeding.

3. Install a Secure Web Browser

• Consider Brave, or another browser and whatever you do, don't install feature rich extentions (i.e. Page Refresh, Dark Reader, etc...)!
• Ensure Secure DNS is enabled. In Brave this is found in Settings | Security.
• Always ensure the lock icon left of the URL appears healthy.
